🏴⚽ Football's Cumin Home Again ⚽🇮🇹
Yes, it looks like beer (intentional) but this is an epic clash of flavours. Created for Euro 2020 England vs. Italy match and my article exploring the links between Bond and football.
90ml London dry gin
45ml pineapple juice
30ml Tuaca (Italian brandy-based liqueur)*
30ml lime juice
30ml cumin syrup**
Add all ingredients to a shaker with large ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a glass.
*This is not widely available in supermarkets (it's on Amazon) so if you can't get hold of it, swap it with your preferred slightly sweet Italian ingredient, e.g. Amaretto, red vermouth
**Just toast 1 tbsp of cumin seeds in a saucepan for a couple of minutes, add 100ml water and 100g sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add fresh pepper if you want a bit more heat. Strain. Sounds like a faff but it's really easy. Swipe for images ➡️
